Project Background:
Custom-made denture is a kind of medical device used to replace the missing teeth. More than a quarter of the population over 55 years old in China wear dentures. Custom-made dentures are mainly divided into two categories: custom-made fixed dentures and custom-made movable dentures. According to the main materials, the custom-made fixed denture can be divided into metal teeth, porcelain teeth, and full porcelain teeth. According to the different materials and processes, the custom-made fixed denture can also be divided into cobalt-chromium/pure titanium cutting/cast bridge (crown), cobalt-chromium/nickel-chromium/titanium porcelain fused-ceramic bridge (crown), zirconia cutting all-ceramic bridge (crown), etc. According to the main materials and processes, removable dentures are divided into resin-base complete dentures, stainless steel curved clasps, and cobalt-chromium alloy/pure titanium cast removable dentures. In addition, there are some relatively special types such as precision attachments and temporary dentures.
